Tutor: Gladys
Gittins is an enthusiastic tutor and has been teaching
bridge for many years. In 2006 she received the Dimmie Fleming
Award from the English Bridge Union. |
| An exciting
finale to our bridge workshop series. We will open the bidding
with 2NT or 2C and see how the bidding develops, also using
Gerber and Blackwood asking bids. The afternoon will conclude
with a few Penalty Doubles. |

| A one-day
workshop exploring the possibility of painting flowers of
the season using a fresh loose technique with a coloured background. |
| Tutor:
Petula Stone is an experienced
tutor and talented artist and illustrator. She also teaches
at the University of Cambridge Botanic Garden. |
| Petula
has been an illustrator for over 25 years and her work has
appeared in children's books and magazines, on packaging and
greetings cards and prints and stamps and on TV. Her work
has been commissioned by a wide range of clients both in the
UK and internationally. These include Bentley House Publishing
USA, Hodder and Stoughton, Harrods, English Garden and Ground
Force magazines, the National Trust, Marks and Spencer, Boots,
Waitrose and the BBC. |

The challenging art of capturing a likeness,
explained in easy stages. Through demonstration and the explanation
of materials and techniques, this enthralling workshop will
enable you to overcome the basic problems - likeness, pose
and background - normally associated with portrait painting.
A class for students of all abilities using the medium of
your choice. |
| Tutor: John Glover,
a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, has been teaching
drawing and painting for many years. His work has been exhibited
at the National Portrait Gallery and at other venues. To view
